»Anne Frank - A History for Today«
Guided visit for school groups (age 10 upwards)
The educational programme on the exhibition »Anne Frank. Here and Now« is designed for schools and youth groups. Participants find out about the life of Anne Frank as they carry out various tasks related to the exhibition. This programme facilitates a biographical approach to the persecution of Jews under National Socialism. The group activities bring together themes related to past and present.
The groups are led by young adults in accordance with the tried and tested concept of »peer education«. The programme is adapted to each age group and takes the prior knowledge of participants into account. This enables young people to play an active role in the programme and to contribute their own experiences. Groups of 16 or more are divided up and taken round the exhibition in separate groups.
We can provide a range of materials to prepare groups for the exhibition and to help them reflect on the visit afterwards. We can post preparatory materials for the whole group if required – please let us know at the time of booking. Books, films and brochures on Anne Frank can also be purchased in our online shop.
