Touring exhibitions
Projects with Anne Frank touring exhibitions are special events which directly involve many people. The projects encourage the examination of history but also of topics such as democracy and human rights. It is a special opportunity for young people to get involved. Anne Frank touring exhibitions are therefore one of the most important examples of active action against right wing extremism in Germany.
The Anne Frank Zentrum offers different touring exhibitions with which you can organise a project in your town. For a few weeks, this will create a special cultural event for all generations in your region. The life story of Anne Frank raises central questions for our own time: issues of social diversity, democracy and human rights are only a few of the topics. Dependent on your available space and your target audience we will gladly help you to find the right exhibition for your requirements.
Large communal projects
Our large touring exhibitions »Anne Frank - a history for today« and the multimedia exhibition »Anne Frank. A girl from Germany« (information in German) are mainly addressed to young people and classes of school children. They have been a success in many communities in Germany. The tried and tested educational approach »Young people mentor young people« encourages an active examination of history and the present time which is centred on teenagers' interests.
A project for smaller places
The exhibition project »Anne Frank and our lives! Civil courage yesterday and today« was specially developed for small towns in the new federal states. This project is particularly aimed at involving young people.
More exhibitions
The exhibition »Anne Frank and her family - photographs by Otto Frank« shows photographs by Otto Frank, who particularly captured the lives of his daughters Margot and Anne with his Leica camera.
»Children in hiding. Persecuted. Hidden. Rescued? Berlin 1943 - 1945« is based on a research project about the rescue of Jews in National Socialist Germany. Five stories of going into hiding in Berlin are told here, which cannot fail to leave an impression.
»Children of war. Encounters today« shows the best contributions from a youth competition with the same theme. This exhibition shows personal stories from the Second World War but also from more recent experiences of war of young people.
