The Anne Frank Zentrum has available a fund of intercultural teaching materials for all ages between 4 and 18. They can be used directly in the everyday practical work of teachers and educationalists. International teams of experts developed the material in close cooperation with the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

"Das bin ich", "Das sind wir" and "Das schaff ich schon!" ("That's me", "That's us" and "I can do that") are the titles of the learning packages, some of which have been used since 1995 in five European countries (Denmark, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Germany and Austria). Please note that the material is in German.

"Das bin ich - International" ("That's me - international")
Package for children between the ages of 4 and 8

"Das bin ich" ("That's me") is the first package of teaching materials for intercultural education in nurseries and the first two years of primary school which was internationally conceived. The material was developed by four countries together and its focus is on twelve children between 4 and 8 from Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Large-sized photo and text books (so-called knee books) tell stories from the everyday life of the children. These invite the search for similarities and differences.

"Das bin ich" ("That's me") contains 12 photo-text books (knee books), 1 audio CD (with 4 stories from the books in German and in the respective child's first language), 1 music CD (with songs to go with the topics of the books), 1 book of ideas for teachers (A5, 75 pages), 1 videotape (containing examples from the work with "That's me", VHS, 20 mins), 1 Poster. This set of materials focuses on the stories of six children between the ages of 9 and 12 who tell us about important events of their lives in Germany. The stories represent the existing variety of our society, as opposed to many teaching materials which portray only white middle class children. This set is suitable for in-school work as well as extracurricular activities.

Package for teenagers from 13 to 18

This project which was internationally conceived presents the daily experiences of eight young people from the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and Austria. The main medium is a video film in which the young people introduce themselves and talk about their dreams for the future and their everyday problems. The set of materials is equally suitable for in-school work and extracurricular youth work.

"Das schaff' ich schon" (" I can do that") contains 1 videotape, 30 magazines (providing more material on the young people's stories), 1 set of educational file cards (containing 160 activities on 86 cards).
